Problem
You add a hyperlink to a SmartArt shape. The link works on your computer but fails when played back elsewhere in the PowerPoint Viewer.
Solution
This is a Viewer bug. The workaround, described in the PowerPoint Newsgroup by PowerPoint MVP Pia Bork is to ungroup the SmartArt shape.
- Select the shapes inside the SmartArts by clicking on one shape and then pressing Ctrl+A
- Copy them
- Insert a new slide with title only
- Paste the shapes into this slide
- On the Home tab, click Drawings, Arrange, Ungroup
